Fancourt — The Links (Garden Route): Designed by Gary Player, it hosted the Presidents Cup in 2003 and is widely regarded as the finest golf course in Africa — modeled on classic British and Irish courses with the Outeniqua Mountains as backdrop.
Leopard Creek (Mpumalanga): Situated on the Crocodile River bordering Kruger, it’s consistently rated in the top three courses in South Africa. Access is exclusive to guests of approved nearby lodges, and wildlife sightings — crocodiles, hippos, elephants — are commonplace.
Pearl Valley (Cape Winelands): Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this course fits harmoniously into the Franschhoek vineyards, combining technical challenge with refined surroundings just over an hour from Cape Town.
Pinnacle Point (Garden Route): Co-designed by 2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke, seven of its 18 holes sit along ocean cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean. It was named South Africa’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards.

South Africa rewards golfers year-round, but timing depends on which regions you’re visiting.
October to April is the sweet spot for Cape Town, the Winelands, and the Garden Route. Summer (December to February) brings warm sunshine and long daylight hours — 13 to 14 hours daily. March to May (Autumn) is widely considered the finest window, with comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds than peak summer.
May to September is ideal for northern safari regions. This dry season concentrates wildlife around water sources, making game viewing exceptional. It’s also whale watching season along the Western Cape coast (June to October).
Safari lodges book quickly during peak season, so we recommend planning nine to twelve months in advance. We handle all timing coordination on your behalf.
